MG TF 1500, 1955
An original RHD, UK supplied example of the more desirable 1.5 litre version of the TF, NED202 was first registered on 9th April 1955. The car enjoyed just three long-term owners between 1955 and 2009, when it was acquired by the gentleman who restored the TF to its present near-concours condition. The car has subsequently formed part of a highly impressive collection of similar condition motor cars.
With MG’s replacement for the TF, the MGA, appearing a few months later in 1955, this example remains a late example of MG’s exquisite run of T-series sports cars.
NED 202 does not just retain its original and distinctive registration number, it is also finished in the same colour scheme in which it left Abingdon in 1955. Furthermore and crucially in today’s market, the car has ‘matching numbers’ throughout - body, chassis and engine are all the originals.
Attention to detail proliferates, as the keen eyed will see from a study of the photographs.
