ALFA ROMEO GIULIA 1600 SPIDER, 1964
One of just 404 Factory built RHD examples and reputedly one of only two supplied new to the Channel Islands.
This car was first registered on 13th November 1964 in Jersey with the registration number J151. It remained on the island for just over 11 years before moving with its owner to the mainland and was first registered here in the UK on 23rd January 1977.
Changing hands on 1st April 1977, the car remained in this ownership for some 22 years before being acquired by a friend on 1st January 1999. The Alfa has not changed hands since.
Unlike many Alfa Romeos of the period, the original engine remains in place, as confirmed by the original Jersey buff log book, and the car is finished in its original and, in my opinion, highly appealing colour scheme of grey with deep red trim, grey carpets and black hood. This is also confirmed by correspondance from Alfa Romeo, in the substantial history file.
During the last 22 years the car has been the subject of an extremely thorough restoration covering every aspect of the car, from bodywork to interior and mechanicals. Full details of this work are of course available on request.
With cast iron provenance and presented to an excellent standard, this is a fine example of Pininfarina’s masterpiece.
PRICE
£ 64,800
The car is presently UK registered.
